Job summary

Columbia State Community College in Columbia, TN is seeking a full-time Program Director funded by the Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development Grant (RPED). The role will oversee grant activities and supervise grant staff, reporting to the Dean of Students.

The Director will serve as a liaison among educational partners, TBR, college faculty, and K-12 partners while acting as a Success Coach for students within the service area to promote workforce readiness and postsecondary success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in education or related field.
• Experience managing/coordinating grants, special projects, or initiatives.
• Min. 2 years of experience in higher education, preferably in a community college setting
• Ability to analyze data for program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation of grant tasks and activities.
• Supervision and evaluation of grant staff.
• Develop an annual plan based on grant activities and outcomes.
• Collaborate with community partners, school counselors, and faculty on assessments and activities.
• Coordinate events and training for educational partners and staff.
• Prepare and/or assist in preparing reports to inform college leadership of RPED progress.
• Serve as a Success Coach for a caseload of students.
