Job summary

Kennedy-King College seeks a Coordinator, Grant Programs (Grant Funded) to advance student success through innovative, grant‑funded workforce initiatives. You will support program operations, track outcomes, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

The role partners with faculty, administrators, and community stakeholders to coordinate services, engage students, and maintain program documentation across the Human Sciences department. Chicago residency is required for full-time staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Education, Public Policy, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of work experience in an administrative or program administrator role.
  • Strong collaborator who can work within a matrixed environment and team setting.
  • Must have a flexible work schedule, including daytime, evenings, and occasional weekend hours.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Provides information to staff, faculty, and clients/students on a grant funded program’s objectives and outcomes.
  • Works directly with clients/students to provide the range of services specified under a grant program.
  • Implements programs to meet grant objectives by establishing work processes and overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Prepares and facilitates presentations and workshops for clients/students.
  • Maintains records and creates databases using Excel and PeopleSoft to track enrollment and engagement.
  • Prepares narrative reports documenting activities and outcomes for reporting requirements.
