Job summary

The National Audubon Society is seeking a Grant Specialist to support pre and post award activities, budget tracking, and compliance across multiple programs from our Washington, DC area office.

As part of the Finance Team, you will manage grant lifecycle tasks, coordinate with program teams, and produce monthly status reports for senior leadership. Hybrid work arrangement is in place with DC commuting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in grant management and administration including budgeting, financial management, reporting and compliance.
• Knowledge of Uniform Guidance cost principles applicable to non-profit organizations and applicable regulations.
• Preferred experience with international grants and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program and development staff to prepare grant proposals with a focus on budget accuracy.
• Coordinate with staff to elevate high dollar or high‑risk proposals for review by Executive Team.
• Assist project staff in compiling and submitting funder required financial reports and ensuring compliance.
