Job summary

The Arc of Butte County seeks a Grant Research & Development Assistant to join the Community Engagement & Development team in Chico, CA. The role focuses on researching funding opportunities and supporting grant and development efforts.

You will contribute to fundraising, events, outreach, and marketing to strengthen The Arc’s resources and presence in the community. This is an on-site position with no remote work.

Qualifications

• Experience with grant research, development, and tracking.
• Ability to independently identify, research, and evaluate funding opportunities.
• Strong research and organizational skills.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Take initiative and move projects forward independently while collaborating with the team.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, online research, databases, CRM systems, and other digital tools.
• Experience with grant discovery platforms such as Instrumentl, Benevity, or similar tools is helpful.
• Ability to communicate professionally with donors, sponsors, community partners, and coworkers.
• Willingness to assist with fundraising, community events, outreach, and basic marketing or social media activities as needed.
• Commitment to inclusion and the mission of The Arc of Butte County.
• Willingness to learn about intellectual and developmental disabilities and communicate about disability respectfully and inclusively.

Responsibilities

• Grant Research & Development Support: research grant opportunities, review guidelines, maintain pipeline, gather program information, assist with applications and reporting, research prospective donors, assist with fundraising campaigns, maintain CRM/records.
