Thomas Jefferson University seeks a Research Administrator, Pre-Award to support the preparation and submission of research proposals for external funding. You will guide budgets, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies, coordinating with post-award to ensure smooth award setup and compliance across departments.

You will act as a knowledge resource for faculty and staff, offering training and expertise in budgeting, regulatory terms, and contract conditions while contributing to process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• 5 years of grants administration experience (federal and non-federal).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and private sponsor regulations and institutional policies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for a diverse community.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to review complex proposals and budgets.
• Collaborates across departments to support timely submissions.
• Adapts to changing regulations and electronic research administration systems.

Responsabilités

• Review proposals and budgets for accuracy and compliance prior to submission.
• Liaise between TJU and sponsors for award negotiation and grant terms.
• Provide guidance and training on proposal development and sponsor requirements.
• Coordinate with post-award, legal/patent/licensing, and research service offices to ensure consistency and timely setup.
