Job summary

The California Department of Toxic Substances Control in Sacramento seeks an Analyst II to support major federal and state grant programs within the Site Mitigation and Restoration Program. You will develop, administer, and coordinate grant packages, perform fiscal and analytical work, and liaise with technical staff and partner agencies.

Qualifications

Experience researching, analyzing, evaluating, interpreting, and/or presenting data.
Experience creating reports, procedures, or plans.
Experience administering grants or loans.
Budget or accounting experience.
Legislation analysis, rulemaking, or regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

Develop, administer, and coordinate grant packages across programs.
Gather and edit the grant workplan narrative and support fiscal data.
Submit application packages via Grants.gov and monitor EPA grant requirements.
Serve as liaison between the Site Mitigation and Restoration Program and the Financial Planning Unit.
Develop annual grant expenditure estimates for inclusion in the Governor’s Budget, in consultation with Budget Office.
Monitor grant expenditure to ensure alignment with workplans and allowable costs.
