The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) seeks a detail-oriented Post-Award Accountant to manage NNLM Region 1 and NNLM Web Services Office grant budgets. This full-time, contingent II position analyzes budgets, prepares financial reports, and collaborates with program staff to ensure fiscal discipline.

Responsibilities include forecasting, monthly budget reviews, and ensuring grant compliance. Eligible for health benefits; term through April 30, 2027, with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Two years of accounting or budget experience, including grants.
• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or CPA preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• Knowledge of GAAP and federal grant guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze grant budgets for NNLM Region 1 and NWSO.
• Prepare financial reports and statements; monitor expenditures.
• Coordinate with program directors and SPA for reporting and compliance.
