SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Grant Manager, this position is responsible for providing tasks related to monitoring all federal and state grant-funded programs (including, but not limited to: CDBG, HOME, ESG, CoC, HMIS, CARE, etc.). Team responsibilities include researching, interpreting, and applying relevant federal regulations to grant programs; writing proposals; developing and managing projects; monitoring compliance; evaluating projects; and performing special studies and research to develop programs, projects, and procedures for various departmental and city programs.
NOTE: Employees in the Community Development Department and their family members are prohibited from participating in or receiving benefit from the City of Amarillo's programs funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and other state and federally funded programs and grants.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's degree is required. A combination of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have a valid Texas driver's license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. May require occasional after-hour work to attend meetings, finish project, and meet deadlines. The employee works in a dynamic environment that requires being sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs.
