Job summary

City of Amarillo seeks a Grant Manager to supervise Community Development grant programs (CDBG, HOME, ESG, CoC, HMIS) and the grant monitoring team. You will oversee reporting, compliance, data systems, and project development, providing guidance to departments and agencies.

This exempt, part-time role reports to the Deputy Director. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Public Administration or related field (Master’s preferred), a Texas driver’s license, and strong written/spoken communication,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Ability to supervise a team and manage multiple grant programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication; editing/proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee grant programs (CDBG, HOME, ESG, CoC, HMIS) and grant monitoring team.
  • Prepare reports and ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
  • Coordinate with departments, agencies, and public meetings; develop budgets.
  • Develop and implement Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan.
