Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1–5 years’ experience as Grant Management Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in MS Office, QVR, grant management systems, SharePoint, IMPAC II.
• Strong knowledge of grants policy and regulations, administration, and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for pre- and post-award activities, including grant awards preparation.
• Assess grant applications for allowability, allocability, reasonableness and cost consistency.
• Respond to inquiries on grants management policies and award status one-on-one.
• Communicate with NIH/NIGMS staff and grantees.
• Stay current with NIH policies affecting NIGMS operations.
• Maintain official grant files and create electronic documents (PDF) for upload.
• Apply policies to grant-related situations.
