Job summary

The California Department of Industrial Relations seeks an Analyst II to perform complex consultative, technical, and analytical staff services. You will evaluate programs, develop funding opportunities, and administer grant solicitations, while coordinating projects with the Funding Team and other DIR staff.

Independent judgment is required to implement procedures, evaluate applications, and provide recommendations on program-related issues. Telework may be available following state policy.

Qualifications

• Describe a time you improved a grant process or operational system. What problem were you solving, what steps did you take, and what was the outcome?
• Describe a time you had to work across teams with different priorities to move work forward. What challenges did you face and how did you resolve them?
• Describe a time you identified a compliance issue, risk, or gap in a process. What actions did you take and what was the result?

Responsibilities

• Perform program evaluation and planning.
• Develop and administer funding opportunities and grant solicitations by formulating and updating procedures.
• Evaluate funding and grant applications, implement and conduct training, and make recommendations on program-related problems.
