Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency with one year of accounting experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• Experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft or similar.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grant funding to ensure accounts comply with sponsor guidelines and reporting schedules, and are closed out timely
• Provide financial administrative support to PIs, including voucher payments, journal vouchers, review of Pcard transactions, travel authorizations and reimbursements
• Analyze financial data for accuracy, resolve issues, and correct or reverse entries as needed
• Attend departmental, college, and university meetings to stay updated on financial policies and procedures
• Maintain compliance, internal controls, and proper documentation of transactions, providing them to the college Contracts and Grants post-award team as requested
• Collaborate and partner with CALS CBO
