The City of Laredo is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the municipal TB Prevention and Control Program to oversee clinical nursing supervision, program administration, and coordination with regional partners. This grant-funded role ensures patient-centered, timely, and safe TB services in line with DSHS standards and City policies.

Responsibilities include leading TB clinic operations, supervising staff, managing budgets, and ensuring accurate reporting and infection control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Texas RN license required; valid Texas Driver License.
• One year of experience in public health, healthcare administration, or related field.

Responsabilités

• Supervise assigned staff and manage scheduling, training, and performance appraisals.
• Lead TB clinic operations, prioritize infectious TB treatment and contact investigations.
• Oversee nursing case management, treatment adherence, and referrals with Medical Director.
• Ensure DOT or video DOT planning, documentation, and escalation of missed doses.
• Coordinate specimen handling, lab testing, imaging, and critical results communication.
• Oversee TB infection evaluations and high-risk population follow-up.
• Ensure timely reporting to Texas NEDSS and grant reporting; maintain confidentiality.
