Job summary

Dallas County TB Prevention seeks a Field Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing staff, implement policies, and coordinate Medicaid and outreach activities in Dallas. You will serve as a liaison with outside agencies and ensure high-quality public health services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field; three (3) years of nursing experience including one (1) year supervisory experience.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
Ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with staff, departments and the public.

Responsibilities

Interprets and implements agency policies and program goals, supervising staff in public health duties.
Provides information and education to the public health community on health issues and immunization practices.
Makes staff assignments, hires and orients new staff, monitors attendance, and conducts evaluations.
Promotes public relations with health and welfare agencies and the public; coordinates outreach activities.
Shares planning, implementation and evaluation of agency and local public health programs.
Participates in programs and conferences to maintain current knowledge.
Performs other duties as assigned.
