Job summary

Quincy Community Schools is seeking a Student Support Specialist for Quincy Middle and High School. The role involves working with students and families, supporting behavioral and academic programs, and coordinating with social workers and administrators.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Student behavioral support experience or training is a plus.
  • Collaboration with social workers, counselors, and administrators is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support the attendance program through proactive monitoring and intervention.
  • Assist, support, or run academic or behavioral programs/interventions with individual or small groups of students.
  • Support and collaborate with Principals, Dean of Students, Social Workers, Counselors for academics or behavior.
  • In coordination with counselors, connect families with social services.
  • Participate in child study and implement/coordinate 504 plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school personnel to support at-risk students.
