Job summary

Quincy Community Schools is seeking a Student Support Specialist for Quincy Middle and High School. The role involves working with children and families to support attendance, behavior, and classroom interventions.

The candidate collaborates with Social Workers, Deans, and Principals to provide comprehensive student support and to coordinate 504 plans and related services. A degree in social work is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support the attendance program through proactive monitoring and intervention.
  • Assist or run academic or behavioral programs for individuals or small groups of students.
  • Collaborate with principals, deans, social workers, and counselors for academics or behavior.
  • Coordinate with counselors to connect families with social services.
  • Participate in child study and implement/coordinate 504 plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school personnel to support at-risk students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
