The City of Urbana is seeking a SPLASH Coordinator for Urbana Middle School to oversee the grant-based after-school program. Responsibilities include staff hiring, daily operations, and program planning within funding and district procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Administrative endorsement or equivalent desired.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience coordinating grant-based programs.
• Experience in education, recreation, or grant management.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement grant-based after school program per district/grant policies.
• Assist admin team with planning, design, and stakeholder communications.
• Engage staff to develop instructional and assessment practices linking day curriculum with extended program.
• Outreach to engage students and families in the program.
• Develop and select project-based after-school enrichment activities.
• Maintain program procedures and operation policies.
• Recruit, hire, supervise staff, and coordinate schedules and stipends.
• Maintain enrollment records, class schedules, and documentation.
• Provide staff orientation and professional development.
• Coordinate with community partners and school district staff.
• Market the program to students, parents, and community.
• Manage budget documentation and reporting to administration.
• Meet deadlines and grant reporting requirements.
• Assist in data collection for evaluation and reporting.
