Job summary

Westminster Public Schools is seeking an ESP - Instructional Assistant to support Title I classroom activities for Kindergarten through 5th grade. The grant-funded, one-year assignment runs 7 hours per day for 181 days, with a wage range of $21.75–$25.30 per hour.

The role includes assisting the classroom teacher, preparing instructional activities, supporting literacy groups, and maintaining required records while coordinating with families and staff to meet diverse learner needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 48 college credits, an Associate Degree, or ParaPro PRAXIS/Workkeys.
• Must pass pre-placement background screenings.
• English language skills and interpersonal relations skills.
• Bilingual desired.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates and communicates with parents, students, and faculty.
• Supports and assists Title I Teacher in preparation for classroom activities.
• Supports teacher in the delivery of the instructional program.
• Maintains all necessary documents within areas of responsibility.
• Works with small groups of students and/or language classes focusing on literacy skills.
