Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Must meet Highly Qualified status (AA degree, 48 credit hours, or have successfully passed the Paraprofessional Praxis test).
• Competency with fundamental reading, writing, arithmetic, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, based on need.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work harmoniously with children, staff, and community.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Implements the program to meet the stated academic growth in core subject areas to meet the grant objectives and student achievement.
• Coordinates curriculum, instruction, and assessment programs in the after-school classroom and monitors delivery.
• Collaborates with the Advisory Committee and Principal to ensure program goals are met.
• Coordinates with community partners to develop programming in arts, STEM, and physical activities.
• Develops quarterly family engagement programming.
• Evaluates and adjusts class offerings based on student needs and data.
• Reports progress and direction to administrators both verbally and in writing.
• Maintains records of student progress toward grant components.
• Coordinates recruitment and retention of students, including marketing via newsletters and flyers.
• Develops professional development opportunities for staff and partners.
