Job summary

Lee County Human & Veteran Services is seeking a Fiscal Specialist to support grant-funded programs with precision and integrity. The role emphasizes accuracy in processing payments, reviewing expenses, and maintaining records to ensure compliance.

You will manage grant deposits, travel forms, and spend-down reporting while collaborating with the team to meet deadlines. This full-time position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with potential variations to cover essential needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus college coursework in finance or related field.
• 2 years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with grant-funded programs and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process direct service payments for grant funds and department operations with timeliness and accuracy.
• Review and verify expenses to ensure alignment with the correct grant or funding source.
• Prepare spend-down reports and documentation for grant compliance.
• Record, track, and reconcile grant deposits.
• Provide backup support for petty cash and imprest fund processing.
• Review and process travel forms for HVS team members.
• Reconcile grant spreadsheets, credit cards, and financial reports for accuracy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
