Job summary

Lee County is seeking a proactive Contracts Supervisor to lead a contracts team for Human and Veteran Services. This role manages the full lifecycle of contracts funded by federal, state, and local sources, including HUD programs, CDBG, ESG, HOME, and Opioid Settlement funds.

The ideal candidate will ensure programmatic, financial, and regulatory compliance, supervise staff, align with county departments, and maintain strong vendor and partner relationships through rigorous contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus related field requirement; education and experience mix acceptable.
• One year of experience in human services or related field.
• Knowledge of HUD programs, government contracting, and funding streams.
• Ability to interpret regulations and analyze financial documents.
• Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex funding requirements.
• Proficiency with contract management systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the contracts team, including recruitment, workload management, coaching, training, evaluations, and progressive discipline.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle: scope development, legal coordination, negotiation, and execution.
• Maintain contract procedures, templates, and guidance for compliant practices; support procurement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements for HUD programs and funding.
• Collaborate with finance on budgets, reimbursements, fiscal monitoring, cost allowability, and audits.
• Oversee data collection and reporting for HUD and other funding agencies.
• Build relationships with partner agencies and resolve contract-related issues.
