Job summary

The State of Wisconsin, Office of Grants Management, is seeking a Grant Systems Data Governance Manager to lead data governance and quality assurance across DHS grantmaking activities. You will define standards, ensure accurate, secure data, and ensure compliance with federal requirements and internal controls.

You will shape how DHS data is defined, collected, stored, shared, and reported, oversee metadata and data lineage, and mentor staff in responsible data stewardship and evidence-based

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing, and managing relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
• Experience building data governance structures and policy/process improvements.
• Experience ensuring data quality and security in compliance with program rules and directives.
• Experience participating in strategic initiatives with technical and non-technical partners in data governance, data management, data architecture, or modernization.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an agencywide data governance framework for DHS grant systems.
• Coordinate with program, fiscal, and IT partners to ensure interoperability and strong internal controls.
• Lead data quality initiatives and ensure data integrity, accessibility, and scalability.
• Provide staff training on data entry, management, and retention practices.
