Job summary

Hively, a growing nonprofit serving Alameda County, is seeking a Grants & Contracts Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of grants and contracts, ensure compliance, and deliver timely reporting across multiple funding streams. The role supports foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other philanthropic sources.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in grant management, strong budgeting and financial reporting skills, experience with federal regulations, and proficiency in Google Suite

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in grant management, nonprofit setting preferred.
• Experience budgeting and financial reporting with grant documents.
• Familiarity with federal regulations (OMB Circulars, 2 CFR 200) and grant guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication with funders and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Grant & Contract Management: support lifecycle from prep to reporting; ensure funder requirements and policies are followed.
• Proposal & Budget Development: assist in grants proposals, budgets, narratives; coordinate with Program Directors and Finance.
• Compliance & Reporting: monitor grant compliance, prepare timely financial and narrative reports.
• Funder Relations & Communication: maintain positive relationships with funders; respond to inquiries.
• Tracking & Documentation: maintain grant-related records; implement tracking systems for data points.
• Internal Coordination: work with program staff, finance, and leadership to ensure correct use of grant funds within budget.
• Audit Preparation & Support: assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
• Training & Capacity Building: train staff on grant management policies and procedures.
