Job summary

Mirror Ministries, based in Kennewick, Washington, is seeking a Grant Compliance Coordinator to oversee reporting, administration, and compliance for all grants, with emphasis on state and federal funding. The role collaborates with leadership, finance, donor development, and program staff to ensure funds are used per grant terms and records are complete.

The position focuses on grant management; grant writing and new funding opportunities may be supported as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience administering awarded grants, including state or federal grants.
• Experience preparing narrative, performance, and financial reports.
• Working knowledge of federal Uniform Guidance, including 2 CFR Part 200.
• Experience monitoring budgets, reviewing expenditure documentation, and interpreting grant agreements.
• Strong writing, organization, analytical, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clear procedures and staff responsibilities.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, program staff, donor development, executive leadership, and funders.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Commitment to Mirror Ministries’ mission and values of Dignity, Empowerment, Community, Faith, and Integrity.
• A relevant degree in accounting, finance, public administration, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Grant administration and reporting: maintain a master calendar of reporting deadlines, review award agreements, prepare and coordinate reports.
• Financial oversight and compliance: monitor expenditures, reconcile with accounting, review payroll allocations and contracts.
• Program coordination and documentation: establish data collection, maintain grant files, protect confidential information.
• Training and support: train staff on grant requirements and provide practical reporting tools.
• Working relationships: coordinate with finance, program staff, and funders; ensure communications meet funder requirements.
• Administration and closeout: coordinate grant closeout and record retention; support audits and monitoring reviews.
