Job summary

STI’s Indianapolis, IN-based Financial Analyst role supports IDOH and program directors by ensuring proper financial requirements, spend, reporting, draws, and rebates activities of each grant. The position emphasizes financial oversight within a team focused on procurement, accounting, contracting, and revenue posting to the state financial system.

The analyst partners with program directors to manage grants, timelines, and budget constraints, ensuring compliance with federal grant requirements

Qualifications

• Experience with government grants and accounting.
• Understanding of budgeting, spend reporting, and revenue posting.
• Knowledge of general ledger posting and journal adjustments.
• Ability to interpret grant requirements and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Execute project setup requirements, and budget, grant and contract amendments, renewals and submissions.
• Provide guidance to program directors through review and understanding of expectations to each grant and activity projected.
• Awareness of accounting procedure, grant actives posting to the general ledger, requirements of transferring, or correcting journals, and posting of wires, deposits.
• Reporting and reconciliation procedures for risk management, program support, and federal grant requirements.
• Knowledge to meet accounting standards, in review and reporting of grants.
• Critical thinking, in timing expectations and grant % requirements with expenses, vendor contracts, rebates, wires, revenue, invoicing and payments.
• Ability to communicate and intervene to represent and support the programs.
