Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Grants Accounting Manager to oversee all grants accounting activities for a leading nonprofit network of community clinics in Los Angeles. The role focuses on post-award accounting, budgeting, variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with grant terms and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include coordination with Development and Finance, preparing periodic reports, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Four to six years of grants accounting, finance, or related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with General Ledger/Grants Module and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grants accounting from award to closeout.
• Coordinate award documentation with Development.
• Prepare monthly grant funds reports.
• Record payroll costs to projects by cost center and type.
• Assist audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, OMB Circulars.
• Maintain grant/contracts files and provide audits support.
• Train on payroll processing and provide coverage as needed.
