Job summary

Sound Transit is hiring an Accountant II to support AR and federal grant accounting, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate financial reporting. You will manage grant reimbursements, reconcile ledgers, prepare invoices, and generate compliance reports as part of a values-driven finance team.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and at least three years of accounting experience, preferably with governmental accounting knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with accounting focus.
• Minimum three years of accounting experience; public/governmental accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAS, FASB, GASB and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional accounting duties to support AR and federal grant accounting.
• Prepare invoices, reconcile accounts, monitor collections, and report financial data.
• Develop journal entries, perform complex reconciliations, and assist in financial analysis.
