Job summary

SAL Community Services in the Quad Cities area seeks a Grant Accountant to manage multiple funded grants, ensuring accurate accounting and timely reporting. The role uses NetSuite to process data, prepare statements, and file grant reports with emphasis on compliance.

You will monitor grant allocations across programs, collaborate with directors and staff on coding, and maintain ledgers, journals and vouchers to support revenue recognition and grant costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or emphasis in Accounting with related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, at least five years in nonprofit grants accepted.
• Proficient in NetSuite and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all grants from multiple funders totaling about 40% of the budget.
• Monitor coding and allocations across programs and grants; assist staff with proper coding and policies.
• Generate, audit and file payable reports with supporting documentation.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger journals, accounts and ledgers for accurate grant coding.
• Administer grant contracts for compliance with government regulations.
• Maintain journal vouchers, ledgers and records to post grant revenue and costs.
