Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality seeks an Area Engineer to supervise maintenance across multiple hotel properties, handling repairs, preventative work, and daily operations. You will respond quickly to work orders and guest requests while ensuring safety and efficiency.

You may assist with shuttle driving as needed and uphold brand standards with a service-oriented mindset. You will lead the Engineering team, coordinate schedules, train staff, and ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (property specific).

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance, repairs, and hands-on tasks across trades.
  • Manage daily operations, address work orders and guest requests promptly.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and safety standards.
  • Lead and mentor the Engineering team and coordinate schedules.
  • Maintain brand standards and professional appearance as part of the role.

Join our team as an Area Engineer! Ready to be the behind-the-scenes superstar? As our Area Engineer, you’ll keep multiple properties running smoothly by handling maintenance, repairs, and hands‑on tasks—from carpentry and painting to plumbing. Take charge of daily operations, quickly address work orders and guest requests, and ensure preventative maintenance. Safety and efficiency are key, and you might even drive the shuttle van when needed. If you enjoy variety and making things work, this role is for you!

Education & Experience
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (property specific).
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, work well under pressure, and handle workplace problems effectively.
  • Must be able to work independently and understand financial information and basic arithmetic functions.
