Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, or PA-C) to join our SNF Psychiatry team in Colorado. This full-time, W2 position offers a total earnings potential of $195,000+ annually with a base salary plus incentives.

Provide direct psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, assess mental status, diagnose DSM-5 disorders, and develop treatment plans. Requires CO nursing license, CO pharmacy license (DEA), and 1 year of geriatric psychiatry

Qualifications

• Licensed in Colorado by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess patients’ mental status based on symptoms.
• Diagnose DSM-5 disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply medical decision-making for mental health issues including psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Colorado. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM‑V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision‑making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non‑pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Colorado by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
