Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions in Colorado is seeking qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP) or PA-C to join our SNF Psychiatry team serving geriatric residents in Pueblo and Canon City.

We offer a compensation package of $195,000+ base with incentives, full-time W2 status, and flexible scheduling. Applicants must hold Colorado licensure and DEA, with at least 1 year of geriatric psychiatry and SNF experience. Excellent benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Colorado license as PMHNP/FNP/AGNP or PA-C in good standing.
• Prescribing authority for controlled substances (DEA) valid.
• Minimum 1 year geriatric psychiatry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to geriatric patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities/Long Term Care.
• Assess the patient’s mental status and diagnose DSM-5 disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological approaches.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.
• Document and chart in electronic health records.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Colorado. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM‑V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision‑making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non‑pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Colorado by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA).
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
