Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an Advanced Psychiatric Practitioner (PMHNP, FNP, AGNP, PA-C) for our SNF therapy team in Nebraska. The role covers face-to-face psychiatric care across Hastings, Grand Island, and Fullerton facilities with W2 employment and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Nebraska NP license required and in good standing.
• Nebraska Board of Pharmacy license to prescribe controlled substances (DEA) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of geriatric psychology experience.
• Minimum 1 year of treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities or Acute Rehab Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess mental status based on symptoms and diagnose DSM-V disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and consider psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological options.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists on clinical cases.

Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Nebraska by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• Possession of Malpractice Insurance if Independent Contractor (offered by the company for W2 employees)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
