Job summary

We are seeking a friendly Team Member to join our dining room team in Reno. You will greet guests, clear tables, assist servers, and help with to-go orders while maintaining a clean, efficient service environment.

Candidates should be 16 or older, able to communicate in English, work flexible shifts, and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver prompt, courteous service. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable standing for

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Promptly welcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional, and gracious service always. Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency to maintain a productive working relationship with all guests and deliver necessary items.
• Effectively communicate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other team members.
• Clear tables after guests leave, promptly clean tabletops/seating area, thoroughly clean the booths and chairs, and take tableware to the dish room.
• Assist servers in pre-bus and busing tables. Pre-bussing includes clearing, wiping tabletops, chairs & booths, and setting tables.
• Help set up to-go/pick up area and help deliver to-go orders to host desk to be picked up by guests.
• Refill beverages as necessary.
• Set and reset tables and side stations before, during and after service periods.
• Deliver food orders to tables.
• Ensure all machines are cleaned properly.
• Fold/roll napkins when needed and keep silverware polished.
• Reset tables in a timely and efficient manner.
• Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items.
• Assist the kitchen in expediting the service process to maintain the flow of service.
• Maintain general cleanliness in dining room during service periods.
• Responsible for taking, compiling and delivering and putting away warehouse orders.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Knowledge of and ability to identify menu products.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and to re-fill ice bins and beer bins, utilizing ice machines.
• Knowledge of the dish room, including separating silverware, dishes & glassware appropriately
• Candidate must be able to communicate in English, both in written and oral form.
• Ability of simple reading, math, writing and task completion skills is required.
• Must have the following skills: compiling, coordination, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
• Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, and frequently reaching overhead, bending over, kneeling, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry 50lbs or less frequently.
• The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both hands and occasional light and firm/strong grasping motions.
• Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
