Summary

The Grain Terminal Production Supervisor manages crews responsible for receiving, drying, storing, and distributing grains.

The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, with an annual bonus opportunity (performance-dependent).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the grain terminal receiving and storage staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
  • Ensure safe working conditions for all associates
  • Maintain service quality and grading standards for internal and external customers
  • Oversee the condition and quality of stored grain, ensuring proper storage practices
  • Coordinate activities of crews involved in grain receiving, drying, storing, and distribution, including housekeeping
  • Ensure routine and preventative maintenance on equipment to maximize availability and lifespan
  • Collaborate with grain merchandising to maintain positive customer relationships and ensure timely, cost-effective grain movement
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • BS Degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Business, preferred
Experience Requirements
  • 3-5 years of grain industry experience
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of grain receiving and storage technologies
  • Understanding of commodity markets and basic software applications
  • Familiarity with federal, state, local, and OSHA regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Must be able to navigate the facilities, including climbing heights up to 150 feet, lifting tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs.), and working in temperatures from 0-100°F, with exposure to humidity, noise, and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Protective gear, including self-contained breathing apparatus, is required. Travel to remote facilities and customer sites is expected.
