Job summary

POET Grain Accountant in Wichita, KS, on-site, plays a key role in processing grain settlements and ensuring accurate payments to customers. You will work with grain teams and finance to maintain precise general ledger records and regulatory compliance while growing with a market-leading biofuels company.

The role requires a problem-solving, detail-oriented team player who can communicate effectively and adapt to a fast-paced industry.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office including MS Excel and Outlook.
• Experience working with financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams across the POET system to assist in the efficiency of information flow.
• Process grain settlements and issue accurate, timely payments to grain customers.
• Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to transaction processing.
