Job summary

The DeLong Co., Inc. is seeking a Grain Scale Operator to manage scale operations, assist with grain grading and sampling, and provide exceptional customer service in a professional, friendly manner. The role focuses on accurate data collection, record keeping, and timely processing of inbound/outbound grain shipments.

Work hours are full-time seasonal, typically Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with additional hours during peak seasons.

• Ability to work long hours on a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service at the counter and during interactions with customers.
• Manage inbound and outbound grain shipments at the scale for customers.
• Grade grain and identify foreign materials.
• Record test data: weights, temperatures, grades, moisture, and quantities.
• Maintain records for trucking weighing and grading activities.
• Coordinate delivery numbers, daily inputs, and verify accuracy.
