Job summary

ADM is seeking an Outside Foreman to oversee plant operations in Louisiana. You will supervise hourly staff, enforce safety rules, and coordinate contract labor while maintaining grain quality and process standards.

You will also handle training, environmental compliance, and daily reporting, including housekeeping, permits, and incident investigations. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations, ensure efficiency and grain quality, including specialty grain and by-product procedures.
• Supervise all employee activities, ensuring comprehension of the hourly employee handbook or contract and all work and safety rules.
• Oversee all contract labor activity.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety rules and procedures.
• Fill out facility permits (hot work, compressed air, confined space, entry into grain storage structures, lockout/tagout).
• Assist in training of employees and contractors and ensure they are trained on various tasks before they begin work.
• Coordinate rail activities and truck loadouts or other outside activities.
• Complete daily housekeeping inspection reports and sign off as required.
• Ensure housekeeping compliance within the plant.
• Obtain reports from departments (bobcat, barge crew cleanliness, barge condition).
• Ensure timecards are filled out daily.
• Schedule hourly employees’ vacation to maintain coverage.
• Assist in coordinating manning for unscheduled maintenance and communicate with the shift superintendent.
• Assist in quality control of grain as needed.
• Check grain in basement and monitor for leaks that could cause co-mingling.
• Aflatoxin & Starlink testing.
• Communicate issues to Shift Superintendent, relief foreman, and Assistant Superintendent.
• Conduct weekly safety audits.
