Job summary

Bunge in Destrehan, LA is seeking a Production Manager to supervise grain operations on a 12‑hour rotating shift. You will support the Production Manager in monitoring plant productivity and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include overseeing shift activities across crush, refinery, packaging, and warehouse, driving continuous improvement, reporting KPIs, and coordinating annual shutdown planning. Requires degree and industrial ops experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering or related field, or equivalent 3+ years of related experience.
• Basic computer skills including Lotus Notes and Microsoft Word as needed.
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends and rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety culture and ensure zero injuries on the assigned shift.
• Supervise department production shift activities (crush, refinery, packaging, warehouse, boiler house, elevator).
• Ensure food safety compliance and sanitation; support monthly inspections and corrective actions.
• Track and report shift productivity improvements and KPI performance.
• Approve daily reports and KPIs; troubleshoot operations issues.
• Assist in planning annual plant shutdowns and support Process Safety Management programs.
