Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Grain Origination Merchant in Ohio to connect farmer customers with our cash markets and customer-facing strategies. You will source grains, analyze regional markets, and collaborate with internal teams to maximize profitability for customers and the company.

The role requires building strong farmer relationships, understanding market access needs, and leveraging our digital tools to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of related work experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Commercial or grain sales experience a plus.
• Understanding of basic production agriculture principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmer customers.
• Position commodity offers in local cash markets to source efficiently.
• Understand customer market access needs and adapt to local changes.
• Collaborate with internal sales, merchandising, customer service and operations.
• Enable an efficient customer experience through our systems and digital offerings.
• Identify customer insights to inform value propositions and business strategy.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with supervision as needed.
