Job summary

Mennel Milling Company is seeking an Operations Manager - Grain in Troy, OH. You will lead safe, efficient grain operations, ensuring proper receiving, storage, conditioning, and shipping to meet quality and service standards.

You will drive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the facility. The role requires 3–5 years in grain handling or ag operations, strong leadership, and ability to manage teams and budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ,
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive grain handling or agricultural operations experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and work while wearing a respirator.
• Strong leadership and employee development experience.
• Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the facility to meet Mennel's quality and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FSMA, sanitation requirements, and corporate EHS programs.
• Maintain an everyday audit-ready facility and promote a strong food safety culture.
• Take ownership of personnel safety, product quality, food safety, environmental compliance, and operational performance.
• Maintain Mennel's housekeeping and sanitation standards to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operation.
• Direct and coordinate facility operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage facility profitability and maintain P&L responsibility for assigned operations.
• Develop team members through coaching, goal setting, performance management, and leadership development.
