Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a General Laborer to load and unload barges and trucks at a location in Louisiana. The role involves performing a variety of duties supporting daily operations, including cleaning, maintenance, and documentation while following safety standards.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in an industrial environment. The position requires physical endurance and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts,

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete documentation requirements.
• Ability to follow directions and use logical thought to interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Perform barge loading duties to meet drafts and quality requirements.
• Assist in transferring, loading, and moving grain to appropriate locations.
• Maintain grain quality during storage and transfer.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Perform general housekeeping and preventative maintenance where applicable.
• Operate heavy equipment as required by location.
• Other duties as assigned.
