Job summary

FS Grain, LLC in Creston, IL is seeking a Seasonal Grain Elevator Operator to assist with grain handling, safety and maintenance under the direction of the Facility Manager. The role includes managing incoming/outgoing grain, quality maintenance, customer service, and adherence to OSHA and safety standards.

Must have high school diploma, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel; ability to work extended hours and on-call.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related agricultural experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn grain handling.
• Understanding of mechanical diagnosis, service, repairs and maintenance of equipment/vehicles.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a computer to enhance grain handling.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and travel as needed.
• Ability to work extended hours and be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain while maintaining quality.
• Provide grain drying and blending services.
• Maintain housekeeping in grain handling areas.
• Ensure OSHA and safety regulations compliance and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Deliver professional customer service and positive experience for customers.
• Maintain equipment per company standards and perform related duties.
