Job summary

FS Grain, LLC is seeking an Elevator Operator to manage grain handling, quality control, and customer service at our Illinois facilities. The role involves operating elevator operations, safety compliance, and equipment upkeep while providing reliable service to customers.

Under supervision of Facility Manager, you will handle incoming and outgoing grain, ensure quality, and support drying services, with potential travel as needed. A high school diploma and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

• Normally requires a high school diploma and/or experience in a related agricultural field.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Understanding and willingness to learn grain handling.
• Understanding and experience with mechanical diagnosis, service, repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment and vehicles
• Preferred basic computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance grain handling
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
• Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming, stored, and outgoing grain and maintain grain quality.
• Provide grain drying services and blending as needed.
• Perform housekeeping related to grain handling and facilities.
• Ensure OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations compliance and proper equipment maintenance.
• Provide professional customer service ensuring a positive experience for customers.
• Maintain company equipment according to standards and company policies.
