JDH is seeking a Grain Elevator Operator to safely receive, store, handle, and load grain products. You will operate elevators, conveyors, legs, and related equipment, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work shifts (including weekends/overtime), and a willingness to learn equipment operation. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer experience in grain or agricultural settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in grain elevators, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred.
• Able to operate forklifts, loaders, and other mill equipment; certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Shift work, weekends, or overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, grade, and transfer grain into storage.
• Operate grain elevators, conveyors, legs, dryers, loaders, and related equipment.
• Perform shuttle train unloading operations per specs.
• Monitor inventories, moisture, and grain conditions.
• Complete required documentation for receipts, shipments, and inventory.
• Coordinate railcar placement, loading sequences, and schedules.
• Maintain housekeeping and report maintenance needs.
• Follow OSHA, safety, environmental requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.
• Support other facility operations as assigned.
