Job summary

Viserion Grain Company in Shawneetown, IL seeks an entry-level grain elevator operator to handle loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products safely and efficiently. Qualifications

• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in a quality-controlled environment.
• Ability to walk on catwalks and perform tasks at height.

Responsibilities

• Assist loading, unloading and transferring grain for truck, barge and rail.
• Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning.
• Assist in basic maintenance.
• Comply with all safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations. IND123

• Assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
