Bartlett Co. in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a hands-on Grain Elevator Operator for 2nd shift (2pm–12am, Mon–Thu, overtime as needed). You will receive, store, handle, dry, blend and load grain, while monitoring conditions and keeping facilities safe and clean.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and the ability to read, write and follow instructions in English. Weekend work and pass of a background check are expected, with comprehensive benefits offered.

The Basics

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Compensation: $23.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: 2nd shift, 2pm to 12midnight, Monday thru Thursday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands‑on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross‑trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
