Job summary

Bartlett Co. in St Joseph, MO is seeking a Grain Elevator Operator for 1st shift, 6:30am to 3pm, M-F, with ample overtime including weekends. You will handle grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading, while monitoring grain condition and keeping facilities clean and safe for all Team Members.

This hands-on role requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, English literacy, and availability for overtime. A background check is required.

The Basics

Location:

Compensation:

$21/hr and up

Days/Hours:

This job will be 1st shift, 6:30am to 3pm, M-F with ample overtime, including weekends.

Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled:

Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
