Job summary

CFS seeks a grain accounting support team member to handle grain settlement, contracts, and position reporting. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to safety policies in a structured office setting.

Candidates should have accounting experience and familiarity with grain sales, with a readiness to work extended hours during peak seasons. This position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within the grain department.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
• Experience with computerized accounting software.
• Understanding of grain sales and marketing (preferred, not required).
• Strong customer service orientation and experience.
• Willingness to work extended hours on a seasonal basis.
• Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize and efficiently complete tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, especially while moving back and forth between different tasks.
• A high degree of personal integrity and confidentiality to deal with large financial transactions and customer information.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Accurately settle (issue payments) customer grain purchase contracts.
• Accurately settle sales shipments and enter direct shipments.
• Balance daily position reports and other reconciliation activities.
• Follow all company safety policies/procedures.
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management.
