Job summary

Acceleration Academies seeks an Interventionist to join its Continuous Improvement Team. The role focuses on targeted academic, attendance, graduation-readiness, college readiness, and career readiness interventions for Graduation Candidates in grades 9–12.

You will monitor progress, partner with multiple school teams, and help keep students on track toward graduation. This is a temporary, grant-funded, full-time position reporting to the Academy Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Experience with at-risk youth, alternative education, dropout recovery, re-engagement, credit recovery, or student support services preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of academic intervention, attendance intervention, student engagement, graduation requirements, and CCR supports.
• Ability to analyze student data, identify intervention needs, monitor progress, and document outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate with Graduation Candidates, families, GCAs, School Counselors, Testing Coordinators, Academic Support Coaches, and academy leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identify Graduation Candidates requiring intervention through analysis of attendance, course completion, benchmark assessments, EOC, and engagement data.
• Provide individualized and small-group intervention services in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
• Monitor progress, course pacing, and mastery of standards using Edmentum reports and intervention tracking tools.
• Support Graduation Candidates with EOC preparation, remediation, and readiness activities.
• Collaborate with Content Coaches and the Academic Support Coach to develop targeted intervention plans.
