Job summary

MSA Professional Services is seeking a Graduate Engineer – Transportation to support transportation construction projects with a focus on field work and construction observation in Eau Claire, WI. You will observe, document, and verify construction activities while learning under experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program required.
• No professional engineering experience required; internship/co-op preferred for relevant exposure.
• Degree should support future EIT/PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation on transportation infrastructure projects under guidance of experienced staff.
• Observe and document construction activities to verify work against plans and contract requirements.
• Review construction documents and maintain accurate daily field records and project documentation.
• Observe and document field testing and construction materials.
• Perform field measurements and collect project data using survey and other field equipment.
• Conduct field investigations and inspections ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements.
• Assist in identifying and documenting construction issues and communicate observations to the Project Manager or senior staff.
• Support project teams with schedules, quantities, records, and other field documentation.
